Star Wars and More: Music of John Williams

The Jacksonville Symphony Coffee Series never disappoints!  On Friday, November 3rd, a group of 19 ladies carpooled to downtown Jacksonville to enjoy "Star Wars and More: Music of John Williams".  Following the concert, the ladies enjoyed lunch at the Bellwether restaurant.

Sunday Funday - Raintree and Limelight Theater

What could be more exciting during the weekend than a Sunday Funday! A group of 16 ladies enjoyed a delicious Brunch at The Raintree Restaurant in Uptown St Augustine followed by a matinee at the Limelight Theater to see “The Music Man.”

Fall Into Pinot

Sip-Sip Hooray!! The Social Committee, in conjunction with Membership, shared a fabulous social gathering on Thursday, October 19th! 

The "Fall into Pinot" theme inspired everyone to taste Pinot Noir or Pinot Grigio wines chosen by our Food and Beverage Director, Angel Calderon. 

Executive Chef, Will Swank and his wonderful staff created a beautiful charcuterie board of fabulous treats!  Everyone attending had a great time, including those who joined MCWA! Welcome new members!

June Luncheon Program

This luncheon was open seating. Mimi Iannuzzi, Community Outreach Chair, presented checks to the four charities that we have supported for the past two years.

Alpha-Omega Miracle Home, Food 4 Kids, Port in the Storm and Pie In the Sky each received checks for $15,000 raised during our annual charity gala in May.

The new Executive Board was sworn in, and Debbie Coates passed the gavel to Pattie Nolton, President for 2023/2024 Season.

MCWA Outreach Awards

Maureen Zygmont received the MCWA Lifetime Giving Award and Molly Courcy was awarded the MCWA Big Heart Award. Congratulations to both of these ladies for all of their dedication and contributions to our outreach program.

Wendy Tatter

Wendy Tattter, owner of WB Tatter Studio Gallery was our guest speaker, explaining the process of batik painting.

Jo Cozby announced the nominees for the next year’s, executive board. We’ll vote at our next luncheon in May. We enjoyed a delicious meal of salmon, risotto, and broccoli.

There are many beautiful pieces submitted to the art show.

The Giving Circle collected money to purchase developmental and educational toys for the children at Alpha Omega Miracle Home.

Gayle Phillips, the executive director of the Lincolnville Museum and Cultural Center presented.

Danielle Brooks of the Honey Truck Company presented. She shared her love of bees, apiculture, and health benefits of savoring local honey.

November Luncheon Program

Author Dr. Ann Browning Masters presented. The redesigned Angel Tree & Angel Affair was launched and the 2022/2023 member directory was published.

Members donated to the Angel Tree and received an invitation the December’s Angel Affair dinner.

June Luncheon Program

June’s Luncheon was awash with awards, the check presentation to our charities, installation of new officers and Gale Mitchell presented the annual awards.

Outreach Committee Co-Chairs Cheri Keirstead and Mimi Iannuzzi presented the checks to Alpha-Omega Miracle Home, Emergency Services & Homeless Coalition, Food 4 Kids, Pie in the Sky, Port in The Storm and Rodeheaver Boys Ranch.

The Lifetime Giving Award was presented to Mimi Iannuzzi and the Big Heart Award to Peggy Cutrino.

April’s Luncheon was sold out. We enjoyed the viewing of the Annual Art Show, Port in the Storm presentation, lunch and music by Linda Cole and her pianist.

Ugly Sweaters and music by Burt Keirstead

The MCWA December Luncheon at Marsh Creek Country Club had an ugly sweater theme and holiday music was provided by Burt Keirstead. The organization’s annual Angel Tree Project was once again a success delivering 33 childrens’ gifts collected at the luncheon to the Homeless Coalition. In addition, Rodeheaver Ranch received 30 Walmart gift cards for the boys in its program and the teens in Port in the Storm received 25 Chick-Fil-A gift cards. Beyond these donations, the Food 4 Kids program received a $2,355 donation for its meals program benefiting students at South Woods Elementary School.
